Legacy Mentors
A fundamental part of the Legacy Project is the involvement of local and national business. This involvement not only demonstrates a commitment to corporate social responsibility but also gives managers and leaders a unique experience that develops core leadership, coaching and mentoring skills at the same time as increasing awareness of emotional intelligence and positive psychology.
‘I have to admit that I was unaware of the Legacy Project and its initiative until I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to work with Legacy as a mentor through the company I work for. The experience has been both rewarding and at times, challenging!
Legacy not only provided me with a two day mentoring workshop to 'show me the ropes' but
also guided me through my mentoring role for the next 7 months. It gave me the chance to work closely with the kids at Leigh Park Community with the assistance of Adam but I was also allowed the freedom to help run the classes as well as work with my own small team of kids as the project progressed.
I was able to build great working relationships with both Adam and the kids and also filter some of the skills I had developed from my mentoring role back into the workplace to assist with my own teams development
